Popular Cosmetic Procedures in 2025

2025-09-07 By Olivia Turner

Plastic surgery is becoming increasingly popular, with everyone looking for quick and effective ways to achieve beauty. In 2025, certain procedures are particularly popular, offering not only significant results but also a short recovery period, making them ideal for busy professionals. If you're also looking to achieve a subtle beauty boost, take a look at these popular procedures.

Hyaluronic acid fillers: Creating three-dimensional facial features
Hyaluronic acid fillers are a perennial favorite among minor cosmetic procedures, and their popularity remains strong in 2025. They are primarily used to fill hollow areas of the face, such as the temples, cheekbones, and forehead, and can also be used for lip augmentation and rhinoplasty. The advantages of hyaluronic acid are immediate results and the ability to adjust the appearance locally, preventing a fake look.
There are also a growing number of hyaluronic acid options available, some of which offer moisturizing properties, providing both filler and hydration. However, hyaluronic acid fillers come with their own considerations, requiring experienced surgeons to perform the procedure, otherwise the result can be unnatural. If you're looking to quickly enhance your facial contours, hyaluronic acid is a good option.

Eyelid Surgery:
· Double Eyelid Surgery:
Available options include buried sutures, Korean three-point eyelid surgery, and full eyelid surgery. Suitable for those with monolids, inner double eyelids, or loose eyelids.
· Canthoplasty (Inner/Outer Canthoplasty):
Mainly used to address epicanthus (wrinkling of the eye corners) or to elongate the eye shape, creating a larger, rounder look.
· Eye Bag Removal:
Available in inner (for young, tighter skin) or outer (for older, looser skin), these procedures can eliminate those under-eye bags. A more advanced procedure, called orbital septum release, removes fat from eye bags and fills the tear troughs, killing two birds with one stone!
· Lower Blepharoplasty:
Creates a rounder, more innocent look, but improperly performed can be risky (redness and retraction), so choose with caution!
· Ptosis Correction:
If your eyelids can't lift, giving you a sleepy, sluggish look, this procedure can help you "see the world with open eyes.
Rhinoplasty:
· Rhinoplasty:
Elevates the nose bridge. Materials available include hyaluronic acid (minimally invasive, temporary), implants (silicone, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, long-term), and autologous cartilage (ear cartilage is commonly used for tip augmentation, while rib cartilage is more stable for full-length noses).
· Tip Sculpting/Tip Reduction:
Do you have a fleshy, round, or flat nose tip? Use autologous cartilage (ear cartilage, rib cartilage, or nasal septum) to create a refined shape.
· Alar Reduction:
Do you have large nostrils and wide alarms? Cut off a small strip and retract it. This can be done internally (with hidden scars) or externally.
· Rhinoplasty:
A combination of all the above procedures! This addresses multiple issues with the nose bridge, tip, and alars at once, resulting in a more sculpted effect.
· Deviated Nose Correction:
A naturally or accidentally crooked nose can be straightened through bone grafting.
Contouring (a major facelift):
· Facelift Injections (Botox):
Target the masseter muscle! This treatment is effective for square and square faces caused by hypertrophic masseter muscles, but requires regular follow-up. Note: It's not effective for faces with excess fat or large bones!
· Bone Sculpting/Osteotomy:
This is serious business! This involves cheekbone reduction and mandibular angle reduction. It's suitable for faces with genuine bone causes of enlargement or squareness. Risks are relatively high, and the recovery period is long, so choose your doctor and hospital with extreme caution!
· Chin Surgery:
Hyaluronic acid/implants are used to augment the chin, addressing a receding or short chin and creating a smoother facial shape.

Lip & Other:
· Lip Augmentation/Lip Reduction:
Hyaluronic acid injections are the most common method for lip augmentation; if your lips are too thick, surgical thinning is also possible.
· Facial Fillers:
Sunken temples, dry cheeks, or deep nasolabial folds? Filling with hyaluronic acid or your own fat can create a more plump and youthful face.
Wrinkle Removal and Anti-Aging:
Minor Cosmetic Surgery:
Botulinum toxin for the removal of dynamic lines (crow's feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles); hyaluronic acid/collagen for the filling of static lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines).
Thread Lift/Thread Lift:
Uses absorbable threads to lift sagging facial skin. Suitable for mild to moderate sagging.
Facelift:
For severe sagging, requires a large incision, offers significant results, and also has a long recovery period.
Phototherapy Anti-Aging:
Ultrasound scalpels, Thermage, ultrasound cannons, and photorejuvenation stimulate collagen regeneration and tighten the skin. Suitable for the prevention of early aging and mild improvement of skin tone.
